Every year the FAI conducts the “Places of the heart” survey, a research on Italy’s most loved places, in order to promote their safeguard and to preserve them for future generations. So far we saved 25 places; churches, monuments, garden, beaches, mills, farmsteads. This year, thanks to your participation to the survey, we will be able to focus the attention on many more places and to start positive actions with the local institutions.
In order to do so, we set up a Committee to promote our “place of the heart”, the former Vaccari factory, the headquarter of Project Nova. In fact, we believe that the factory is a precious site for industrial archaeology, and that it must be preserved and put into value.
Furthermore, the Vaccari factory represents a fundamental part of the history of our community.
This cultural heritage is coming to new life thanks to Project Nova: a cultural hub where private associations and institutions will develop their activities.
We will need everyone’s contribution. In fact, every year the places with at least 1000 votes will get special attention: they will be able to submit to FAI a request for funding for restoration.
